I have gradually realized that my iPhone, which I use for both my personal and work life, has never entirely felt like mine to control since I started doing that. The addition of Focuses in #iOS15 has gone a long way toward fixing that for me. There are some other tools I employ, but this has become the biggest step toward setting healthy boundaries between work and personal life for me.

@changeling glad to read this. I hope more people will realize that “instant” in the name of a program or a protocol, platform or whatever is just a description for delivery method and it is not implying instant response. These programs like “Focus” on iOS, Digital Wellbeing on Android or just good old “Do Not Disturb” will help!
@b847c1960 and services like SaneBox will also offer DND for e-mails. Downside is that’s a paid service and not all offices will let one hook their e-mail to third-party services.
@changeling one step at the time, at least something is moving. This should allow people to break that habbit of responding instantly and maybe get a break from all distractions? We shall see…
@b847c1960 I don’t know about everyone, but me for sure.
